Your elevator pitch<\/a> is a powerful tool to make a lasting impression in a short amount of time. Elevator pitches, which are intended for making a meaningful introduction concise enough to be delivered during an elevator ride, are needed for interviews<\/a>, hiring events<\/a>, quick introductions, and more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But knowing where to start in crafting your elevator pitch can be tricky. The good news? There’s an easy, three-part formula to help you craft the perfect pitch:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Start with Your Destination<\/strong>
    Begin by clearly stating your goal or what you want to do. This sets the tone and gives your audience immediate clarity about your aspirations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Share Your Why<\/strong>
    Briefly explain why you are passionate about this goal. Highlight your qualifications and what motivates you to pursue this path. This personal touch adds authenticity and helps your listener connect with your story.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. End with an Ask<\/strong>
    Always conclude with a call to action that moves the conversation forward. For example, you might say, “Can I buy you a cup of coffee and learn more about your company?<\/em>” or “Would you be open to scheduling a quick call to discuss this further?<\/em>” This shows initiative and leaves the door open for continued dialogue.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
